Paul created Oakfield Recruitment Ltd in 2014, with the aim of first seeking to understand the strengths and development areas of the Recruitment Market in general and also to build a model where the Company could truly focus on the Client and Candidate relationship at all times. In December 2019 the vision became a reality and the business now continues to grow sustainably with Service and Value to Clients at the heart of day to day interaction. Before Recruitment he spent thirty five years in Financial Services, starting on the very first rung of the ladder as ‘Waste and General Office Duties Clerk ’ through to becoming Regional Manager for Retail Banking. He cites one of his favourite roles as Regional Agricultural Manager which birthed his love for Farming and all things connected. He has maintained these roots and has successfully reared Jacob Sheep along with a wider collection of animals. The Mattock family enjoy ‘Growing their Own’ and spending quality time together.
Chris has specialised in recruiting senior professionals in financial services for 5 years. Prior to this he enjoyed a 25 year career in wealth management and retail banking. Chris believes that understanding a clients business and getting to know the culture is critical to finding the right candidate.
Chris has developed an enviable network and has a track record of headhunting top talent for his clients. A subject matter expert in FS through personally working in the sector. Chris loves nothing more than cooking and enjoying a good glass of red with the family, passionate golfer and rugby fanatic.
